Controversial US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation Terminates Aid Operations

The controversial, US and Israel-backed GHF aid organization says it is terminating its humanitarian work in the affected area, subsequent to approximately 180 days.

The organisation had previously halted its multiple aid distribution centers in Gaza after the truce agreement between Hamas and Israel came into force recently.

The foundation sought to bypass the UN as the chief distributor of humanitarian assistance to Gazans.

Most of them were fatally wounded by the Israel's armed forces, based on the agency's reports.

Conflicting Accounts

Israeli defense forces stated its troops had discharged cautionary rounds at persons who advanced toward them in a "threatening" way.

The foundation stated there were no shootings at the relief locations and alleged that United Nations of using "untrue and confusing" figures from the Gazan medical department controlled by militant factions.
